Breaking into logistics without experience

My long term plan is to eventually run an export business. The challenge I'm running into right now is simply getting started mainly because I don't have a background in logistics, and every time I apply for entry level roles, the job descriptions still ask for a couple years of prior experience. It's tough to even get a call back, let alone an interview. For those of you who've been in the industry a while, how did you land your first opportunity?

Have you thought about diving into freight broker training or getting your customs certification? They're pretty quick programs, and they can really boost your credibility in no time. Plus, don't overlook the power of internships or temporary gigs at logistics companies, they're a fantastic way to get your foot in the door and start making connections in the industry.
