Shipping rates and info

My parents run a small retail store in the US, and we found some merchandise in Mexico we wanna to import. I'm new to this and heard LTL shipping is best for our 4 pallets (each 4x4x4 feet, 100kg). Im looking for recommendations on reliable shippers who handle customs and import paperwork. I got quotes of $3k from Tforce and $3.5k from Estes which seems a bit high for me. Also, do UPS or FedEx offer air freight, and how can i get rates? Their online info isn't clear.

Thanks, do you know if freight brokers like Freightquote handle smaller shipments too, or are they mainly for larger , palletized loads??

When I was trying to do some research for my own thing I found that the online info is useless or not very accurate, so I did the next best thing. I started to contact companies asking for specific information. Also, make sure you ask to get the info in writing via email. It's easier for you to compare later.
